Web Apps = CSS3 + JS + HTML5
New keyword in fashion, HTML5 is what AJAX was two years ago. It is a simple word to describe a way to design interactive web interfaces.
Every day, during the design of our clients' web sites, we ask ourselves the question of the simplest, the most appropriate, and the most useful interface. Ergonomics and simplicity govern all our designs. These ergonomic decisions often involve technical choices and the use of interfaces in HTML/JS/CSS makes things easier.
Thus, we prefer the installation of Google Maps with Open Layers and a little bit of MapBox over Flash maps with an HTML5 video player with fall-back on Flash for older browsers.
But the most important step forward towards fully developed application interfaces in HTML is probably local storage or the ability to save data locally.
The use of DOM, HTML5, Javascript and of CSS allows fluid and ergonomic interfaces, greatly reducing the amount of data exchanged over the network.
Beyond the HTML5aspects, our HTML integrators have specialize in the creation of semantic HTML structures, that are W3C compatible and, especially, that make cuts to the nearest pixel on ALL browsers (including IE6). In addition, we can produce HTML integrations with bronze, silver or gold accessibility.
